GET INVOLVED

Status Unknown needs warriors, caregivers, volunteers, professionals, businesses, funders, and community partners willing to turn visibility into practical support and lasting change.
Whether you need connection, have a story to share, can contribute a skill, or want your organization to help, there is a clear place to begin.

BEGIN WITH COMMUNITY
You do not have to prove your pain, or have all the right words, to belong here.
Some people come to Status Unknown because they need support.
Others come because they are caring for someone, searching for answers, or trying to feel less alone.
Start with the path that meets you where you are.

Find Support
Because you are not alone and we should not have to do this alone.

Share Your Story
Changing how invisible illness is understood and addressed.

Join the Community

VOLUNTEER WITH US
Give Time Where It Can Become Structure
Status Unknown is volunteer-led. We need people who can help transform ideas, lived experience, and community support into reliable programs and systems.

Community and Event Support
Help with outreach, gatherings, restaurant nights, care drives, participant support, and local activities.

Story and Communications
Support story intake, editing, social media, newsletters, campaigns, photography, and public education.

Operations and Administration
Help with research, scheduling, documentation, data entry, fundraising support, volunteer coordination, and nonprofit workflows.

Digital and Technical Support
Contribute website, accessibility, automation, QR systems, design, data, and digital infrastructure skills.
We are 100% volunteer run. Volunteer roles depend on current organizational needs and capacity. Some positions may require onboarding, confidentiality agreements, or role-specific screening.
CONTRIBUTE EXPERTISE
Professional knowledge can become community access.
Status Unknown is not replacing medical, legal, mental-health, financial, or other professional services.
We are building trusted educational tools, referral pathways, public resources, and program infrastructure with qualified contributors who understand the systems our community is navigating.

Healthcare and Patient Advocacy
Contribute educational sessions, resource reviews, navigation guidance, and trusted referral pathways.

Legal, Benefits, and Rights
Help develop rights education, referral networks, benefits information, and practical guidance.

Research and Education
Support community-informed research, data tools, educational content, and institutional collaboration.

Creative, Media, and Technology
Help build stories, campaigns, websites, QR tools, videos, photography, data systems, and accessible digital experiences.
Professional contributions are reviewed before being published, endorsed, or incorporated into Status Unknown programs.

PARTNER WITH US
Bring what your organization already has.
Your organization does not need to specialize in chronic illness to make a meaningful contribution.
Businesses, restaurants, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, schools, funders, and community spaces can help provide the resources, visibility, access, and infrastructure people need.

Businesses and Restaurants
Host a fundraiser, sponsor a program, donate products or services, offer discounts, or create employment opportunities.

Healthcare and Resource Organizations
Contribute education, referrals, supplies, devices, professional expertise, or access to care and support.

Schools and Community Spaces
Provide accessible gathering space, volunteers, outreach, educational opportunities, or community connections.

Nonprofits, Foundations, and Sponsors
Fund programs, collaborate on initiatives, share expertise, and strengthen organizational capacity.

TURN ONE IDEA INTO PRACTICAL SUPPORT
Together, our community can help turn visibility into real support.
Choose an action that fits the resources, audience, or space you already have.

Host a Restaurant Fundraiser
Create a give-back night that raises funds and introduces new people to the mission.

Sponsor a Program or Relief Round
Fund emergency assistance, resources, events, storytelling, or program infrastructure.

Organize a Care or Supply Drive
Collect approved medical, household, recovery, or comfort items for community support.

Offer Accessible Space
Provide a location for meetings, events, educational sessions, or community gatherings.

Start a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser
Turn a birthday, workplace campaign, school activity, or personal milestone into support.

Host an Educational Session
Invite Status Unknown or a qualified contributor to help your community better understand invisible illness.
WAYS TO TAKE ACTION
A clear path to navigate the unknown.
1. Choose Your Path
Select the volunteer, partner, sponsor, professional, or community pathway that best fits.
2. Submit the Form
Tell us what you can offer, what you are interested in, and any timing or accessibility considerations.
3. We Review and Respond
Status Unknown will follow up based on mission alignment, urgency, safeguarding requirements, and current capacity.
Submitting a form does not guarantee an immediate placement, partnership, funding decision, or service. It helps us route each inquiry responsibly.

BUILD WITH US
This is bigger than one organization.
The movement needs people willing to turn concern into action.
Volunteer your time.
Contribute expertise.
Open a door.
Sponsor a program.
Help build support that people should not have to fight to find.
