Chronic illness begins with one person, but when care, income, understanding, and support are missing, the consequences move outward. Daily life becomes unstable. Families and caregivers absorb the unmet need. Workplaces, communities, healthcare providers, and public systems inherit the consequences.

Health changes can affect work, income, education, independence, relationships, identity, and plans for the future.

2. Warrior Direct Relief Fund

A direct-support fund for urgent needs connected to illness, including food, transportation, supplies, bills, and access to care.

Hope for the Holidays, community fundraising, direct assistance, and more than $20,000 raised and distributed since 2018.

A formal request process, recurring relief rounds, partner-funded assistance, and twelve planned microgrants.

We are not starting from zero.
Status Unknown grew from years of community advocacy, fundraising, direct support, awareness events, and lived experience. Before we had formal infrastructure, we were already showing up for people and families navigating illness, disability, financial pressure, and isolation.
We are now turning that history into a nonprofit model capable of reaching more people, documenting outcomes, and building support that lasts.
